World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential part of gearing up your character. Upgrades boost the base damage and enchantments of items.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.
The upgrade button is located on any item. Every recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
When a weapon gets upgraded, it receives a base damage bonus, as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats. The weapon can also be upgraded with a number of upgrade components that offer additional features or effects as well as unique cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot available and meet certain requirements. The upgrade component can be removed from a weapon, armor, or trinket, but it is not replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be retrieved through the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or a higher-tier salvaging tool for an item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that improves certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done via the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier, this can be done up to four times.
Once the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be reforged with a number of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. Many of these upgrades can be re-applied simultaneously, and the effects are based on the quality of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage a weapon deals.
In general, it's best to upgrade your weapon damage first. Then, you can upgrade your armour defense and, finally, the secondary stats required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon prior to upgrading other gear. This helps maximize DPS. This is especially true for enchantments, which can be very efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades let players enhance the stats of certain armors, weapons trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have additional effects such as increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as rewards from quests.
The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In most cases an item of armor will be upgraded to the next level once an upgrade is applied. This is possible for any type of armor, though some items cannot be upgraded at all (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).
The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's defense or strength by just a little. Some upgrade components, however can result in significant increases in defense or strength. This is especially true when upgrading epic items.
In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, a few upgrades also give special abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, such as granting a buff to attack speed or blocking. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, for instance decreasing the amount of damage taken when wearing armor, or giving you a the chance to avoid attacks.

For instance the case of a player wanting to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with a base defense between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a base defense between 67-77 and the list goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains found in the game. Each of these locations contains a powerful fair who can change the quality of an item of armor for you.
Contrary to popular belief armor in The Division 2 is not useless. The fact of the matter is that certain armors come with very substantial increases in poison, curse, fire or magical damage reduction, making them extremely useful for certain builds. There are many other ways to boost the stats of armor besides upgrading the armor, like using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger to reduce total weight.

By placing a potion on the stand for brewing, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a brand new level of potion effect and can be repeated to unlock more potency levels.
The potion also gains a custom color code which the player can choose by using /give. This affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion colour also applies to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, a common thick and awkward potions now have a brand new brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness have been added. Added lingering potions that can be made with splash potions or dragon breath and a thick pot that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4:45). Trinket
A trinket can be described as a small inexpensive piece of jewelry. This can be a necklace, ring, or even a small flag used to identify a boat's yard that is lateen. It could also be a reference to a gilded trinket on the mast of a vessel.
This macabre trinket is believed to be influencing the denizens of this maze and making them more popular. The trinket, at its current level makes all types Xx of mimics more prevalent and gives each floor an Y% chance that it contains an ebony copy. Upgrades to this trinket require a small amount of energy.
This enchanted Scepter's magic seems to influence the dungeon and increase the likelihood of generating grass and water. At its current level, this trinket can make X% of the floors fill with grass or water, however it won't affect enchantments or the glyphs, cursed weapons, armor, or other items created to help solve hazard rooms.
This item, which appears like a newt's eyes appears to alter your vision in a way that goes beyond just reducing your field-of-view. This trinket, at its current level, boosts the health benefits of drinking healing potion and wells of life by X%, and gives you mind-sight on enemies within Y tile. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.
After you have completed the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by taking on Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They cannot be found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
If you find a trinket that needs to be upgraded then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will have an effect on the trinket which is random, either increasing or strengthening its effects. You can reorge a Trinket multiple times as often as you want, though it will always have a different effect than the one it was when you made it.
You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, but increase the power of the trinkets by a tiny amount.
